The collection consists trophy items, medals, plaques, cups and practical items with inscribed dedications. Items dated to the second half of the 19th century is primarily from Croatia, but there are items with foreign origins. Items in the collection document events through their appearance and their inscriptions. The collection is comprised of over 4900 catalogued items with the most valuable being items belonging to dr. Franjo Bučar, followed by awards from the first cycling competitions between 1890 and the beginning of the 20th century, memorabilia and awards of the Croatian Hawk Physical Exercise Society (1874 – 1929), awards from football, swimming, athletics, sledding, skating, wrestling, marksmanship, as well as medals starting from the first modern Olympic games in 1896 onwards, particularly including Olympic medals of athletes.
Trophy items were created by notable Croatian, but also foreign, craftsmen, companies and masters, with authors being numerous Croatian sculptors such as Ivan Kerdić, Robert Frangeš Mihanović, Joza Turkalj, Želimir Janeš and many others.
Badges of clubs, sporting federations and events present a material view of events and are, at this time, part of the collection.
