Silence at the 7m line in Rijeka

The exhibition of the Croatian Sports Museum Silence at the 7m line, dedicated to the history of the Croatian deaf handball representation, previously exhibited in Zagreb continued its tour of Croatia. In cooperation with the Maritime and History Museum of the Croatian Littoral Rijeka, the exhibition was made available to the public in the city of Rijeka, where it will remain until the end of May. The exhibition may be viewed in the Museum at 1 Riccardo Zanella Square, Rijeka. The formal opening of the exhibition, taking place on May 17th 2022 at 12 o’clock marked the exhibition’s beginning with the exhibition set to end on May 29th 2022. The exhibition has been included in this years program for the International Day of Museums, whose topic this year is “Power of the Museum”.

The opening ceremony saw the Director of the Maritime and History Museum of the Croatian Littoral Rijeka, Nikolina Radić Štivić, greet the assembled. Her speech was followed up by the exhibition’s author, Martina Vargek, Curator from the Croatian Sports Museum, and Damir Herega, who spoke for the Association of the Deaf and Hearing Impaired of the Primorsko-Goranska County. Finally, the exhibition was opened by Sanja Sošić, Department Head for Culture, Sports and Technical Culture of the Primorsko-Goranska County. Once the opening concluded, the exhibition’s author provided a guided tour to the attendees.
