On March 20th 2019, the Croatian Olympic Committee held an opening ceremony for the Croatian Olympic Committee Library. Guided by the motto “Through knowledged to sports excellence” the library which gathers 1882 examples of sports publications, 1030 unique titles and 919 serial publications became a valuable source of knowledge and a repository of memories of sports events.

United in their common goal of preserving sports heritage – not merely of past events, but all future achievements and accomplishments, the Croatian Sports Museum and the Croatian olympic Committee used the opportunity to formally sign a cooperation agreement, establishing a permanent mechanism for cooperation to ensure the preservation of all future accomplishments. The Croatian Sports Museum was represented by its director, Danira Bilić, while the Croatian Olympic Committee was represented by its General Secretary, Josip Čop.
