Proving the wealth of Croatia's sporting history with more than 260 000 items

The Croatian Sports Museum has been active in various forms for over 70 years, existing since 2003 as a national museum under the umbrella of Croatia's Ministry of Culture. It has systematically collected the most valuable items of Croatia's heritage in sports and physical exercise. During the Museum's existence, starting with the legacy of Franjo Bučar and continuing to today, the museum has gathered more than 260.000 items, photographs, documents and publications that serve as evidence of the history and development of sports in Croatia from the mid-19th century until today.
